Product Description
RDL RU-SH1 Stereo Headphone Amplifier Rack-Up
Overview
The Radio Design RU-SH1 is used in applications requiring headphones of any impedance to be driven from consumer or professional audio sources. This model is made for rack mounting.
The RU-SH1 is a dual-channel headphone amplifier with balanced/unbalanced left and right inputs accepting operating levels between -20 dBV and +20 dBu. Two recessed slide switches located on the side of the rear enclosure are set prior to mounting the module: one sets the input sensitivity, the other selects between stereo and mono operation. The front panel level control is a long-life potentiometer. Because audio does not pass through this control, it can provide years of noise-free level adjustment.
Long Life Controls
Because audio does not pass through the Radio Labs RU SH-1 control, it assures years of noise-free level adjustment. This, with the integral long-life VCA stereo level control (with balanced or unbalanced inputs) means you will have a durable and dependable amplifier.
Drives High or Low Impedance Headsets
The unit comes with built-in headphone adaptability. The output amplifiers deliver more than 50 mW into either high- or low-impedance headphones through a durable 1/4" (6.3 mm) standard headphone jack.
Rack Mounting
This small but efficient headphone amplifier is designed to fit easily into your system rack.
