Product Description
Pro Intercom TR1 Talent Receiver Beltpack
Overview
Contacting the talent or getting the attention of someone without a headset is the purpose of the TR1.
Performance: The TR1 is the smallest, lightest package we could design without making it impossible to manipulate while in a hurry, or in the dark. On the top (or front) panel there are inputs for both 1/4" and 3.5mm plugs and a rotary volume control which can be turned down, but not all the way off. Internal jumpers allow the technician to set the lowest level preferred. The bottom (or rear) panel features a green LED indicating that the unit is connected to the system and is receiving the required 18~30 VDC from the power supply. A second LED, red, flashes, indicating that audio traffic is being received. An external but recessed switch allows the technician to choose between single and two channel operation. Connection to the IFB circuit is made using the TR1's removable/replaceable cables that terminate either in a 3-pin female or a 3-pin male XLR or, provided with a cable which Ys, both. They are available in a variety of lengths. Connection to the TR1 is via a 3-pin mini XLR. The actual cable used is the steel reinforced type that has proven its strength on our 200 series headsets for the past many years.
Durability: Long the industry's durability leader, we have applied our years of experience in building tough, hard-wearing products to the creation of the TR1. It is housed in an extruded metal cabinet with interior ribbing to add to structural strength and to provide support down both sides of the printed circuit board. Resilient plastic bezels protect the ends. Only the best quality printed circuit board material is used and components are mounted extra-securely. The connectors and controls are of professional quality.
Value: The simplicity of assembly leads to maximized productivity. Quality of the components and durability of the finished product result in low anticipated warranty repair and replacement costs. The resulting price is surprisingly low, particularly for a product with industry-leading features and functions. A limited, 3-year, quibble-free warranty applies.
Compatibility: In addition to the compatibilities described above, internal jumpers will allow the TR1 to interface with a host of other present and earlier IFB configurations, including those with operating current on Pin 3, but excluding balanced systems.
