Product Description
Lightronics UMX24 Convertor with DMX512 or LMX-128 Input Channels
The UMX24 is a very compact lighting protocol translator which receives a USITT DMX512 signal or a LMX-128 multiplex signal from a lighting console. The unit converts the incoming signal, and transmits it as 24 channels of 0-10 volt analog signals. A "pass through" DMX and LMX connector are provided.

Architect & Engineer’s Specifications
The unit accepts DMX512 or LMX-128 that complies with the 1990 standard and converts the 24 channels to 0-10 Volts DC output for use with analog dimming systems. The start address of the conversion is determined by dip switch settings. Start addresses are in groups of two. A DMX512 or LMX 128 hold function is activated via dip switch. The unit shall have a red LED indicator on the front panel lights when power is applied to the unit. The green LED is lighted when a valid DMX512 or LMX-128 signal is present. Connection of the DMX512 or LMX-128 signal is through industry standard male and female 5 pin or 3 pin XLR connectors for signal input and passthru. A DB-25 connector on the rear of the unit is for the analog output signals which are to be connected to the analog dimmers or other analog compatible lighting devices. Pin 1 of the DB-25 connector is the channel 1 output signal. Channels 2 through 24 follow in sequence (pin # = channel). Pin 25 is the common or signal ground. Power requirements of the unit shall be +15VDC phantom power or external power supply. Options include 13 VAC, 800ma external power supply and 0-15 Volt DC/0-20 Volt DC output. Dimensions are 5.125”W x 1.75”H x 5.25”D, the weight shall be 1 lb. The Protocol Converter unit shall be a Lightronics UMX24.
