The TX30 is a very compact in-line translator which receives USITT DMX512 signals and transmits the Lightronics (LMX-128) multiplex protocol. This is the industry standard multiplex protocol.

Architect & Engineer’s Specifications
The unit accepts the DMX512 lighting control protocol as input and converts it to LMX-128 for use with multiplex dimming systems. The DMX starting address of the conversion may be controlled in two channel increments by DIP switch settings. A hold function and a DMX terminate function can be activated by DIP switches. A front panel “Power On” LED indicator and a “DMX Valid” LED indicator are also provided. Connections for the DMX signal are via 5 pin XLR connectors. A male and female connector are used for input and pass through. A 3 pin male XLR connector is provided for the LMX-128 output signal which controls multiplex dimmers and lighting devices. The TX30 may be powered by +15 VDC phantom power from multiplex dimmers or by an external power supply. The TX30 can be optionally supplied to provide an AMX-192 protocol signal output via a 4 pin male XLR connector. Dimensions are 5.125”W x 1.75”H x 5.25” D. Unit weight is 1.5 lbs.
