Lightronics AS40L Portable Dimmer 4 Channels, 600W per Channel
The AS40L is a compact portable 4 channel light dimmer. It has a maximum capacity of 600 Watts per channel and a maximum TOTAL load capacity of 2400 Watts. It is supplied with an input power cord which may be connected to a 120 VAC, 20 Amp power circuit. The AS40L is compatible with the industry standard 3 wire multiplex control signal protocol (LMX). The AS40L may be operated in a relay (non-dim) mode. The unit will also function as a stand alone chaser and has eight preset chase patterns which may be used.

Architect & Engineer’s Specifications
The dimming system shall have 4 circuits with a load capacity of 600 Watts per circuit. Each circuit is protected by a 5 Amp fuse. An allowance of 200% overhead capacity is employed in the triac circuit design, 15 Amps per circuit, and an overhead of up to 400 Volts per circuit. The dimming system shall have a rise time of not less then 150 microseconds. A user may set dimmer attributes of Dim or Relay, unit address, and stand alone chase functions via dipswitch controls. The dimming system shall use the industry standard LMX-128 protocol, on a 3 pin XLR type connector for direct control of the dimming circuits. The microcontroller directly applies pulse width modulation to channel output drive opto-couplers without the need for any analog circuitry. The opto-couplers provide 5000 Volt isolation between the high voltage and all other circuitry. Power requirements of the dimming system shall be 120 VAC single ended operation, capacity shall be 20 Amps. The microprocessor auto senses line frequency and will operate on 50Hz or 60Hz. Load output connectors shall be of Edison style connectors. Input electrical connections are made through 1 pigtail with connector determined when purchased. The dimming system is to be mounted using standard lighting equipment clamps. All components and sub-systems of the dimming system shall be UL recognized when specified by the user and conform to the standards set forth. Dimensions are 9”H, 8”W, 2.25”D; the weight shall be 3.6 lbs. The dimming system shall be a Lightronics AS40L.
