Product Description
Doug Fleenor Design E1REL20A-JBOX 1-Channel Ethernet Relay Pack in Junction Box
The E1REL20A-JBOX and E1REL20A-2POLE-JBOX use ArtNet and sACN (E1.31) Ethernet protocols for control of a relay. They can switch up to a 20 amp line voltage load and are built with a 30 amp relay for robust performance.
Doug Fleenor Design relay packs use dry contact air-gap relays. These relays have advantages and disadvantages over the solid state relays found in dimmer packs. Solid state relays can be switched on and off rapidly with no wear, but tend to leak current even when in the off position. Air-gap relays do not leak current, but due to their mechanical design have a finite life span. Doug Fleenor Design relay packs should be used where a true off condition is required (no voltage, no current). They should not be used in applications where they will be turned on and off rapidly (for example in chase lights). Ideal applications include fog machines, power to moving light fixtures, motorized disco effects, strobe lights, fans, and removing power from fixtures that are not able to dim to zero.
