Product Description
Allen & Heath AH-AVANTIS-W-DPACK 64-Channel Digital Mixer, with DPack
The 64 channel 42 bus Avantis digital mixer is the third offering in the Allen & Heath 96Khz console series. The Avantis-W-DPACK combines the Avantis console with A&H's powerful dPACK dLive and DYN8 processing software into one out-of-the-box gig-ready board.
Elegant dual 15" full HD touch screens provide a window into your console that makes using the Avantis an immersive mixing experience. 24 motorized channel faders react on touch to highlight the active display channels for intuitive visual feedback. With the touch of a button, the display can switch from rotary controlled pan and gain to EQ and compressor settings across an entire channel bank. There's also a fast grab feature so can quickly access EQ, compressor, FX settings, and more on the selected channel.
Avantis comes standard with 12 XLR analog inputs and outputs, 1 AES digital stereo input and 2 AES outputs to get you up and running right away. But you're not limited to what's standard. You also get two I/O port slots that can be filled with separately available dLive digital option cards.
What makes the Avantis-W-DPACK shine is that it comes with dPACK DEEP and DYN8 pre-installed. DEEP is a collection of virtual compressor, limiter, and graphic EQ emulations with a dual-stage valve preamp tossed in for good measure. With DYN8 you get 8 bands of frequency-specific dynamic processing as a 4 band dynamic EQ and a 4 band multiband compressor. In general, the dynamic EQ is most useful for individual tracks while the multi-band compressor works best on a stereo mix or groups of tracks. Either way, the power of the processing lies in the fact that it's already built into the Avantis. That means there are no latency or phase problems, and no extra gear to purchase.
With that much processing power, 64 channels, and more bus possibilities than any analog console, the Avantis-W-Dpack is the one-box solution to your mixing needs.
