Overview

The SR517W Smart Remote is the wall-mount version of the economic DMX Master Remote and DMX Recorder. It is designed to provide standalone DMX scene storage and recall for DMX scenes, directly connected simple contact switches, and Lightronics Unity Architectural Lighting System button control stations only. With its versatile usability, it is a powerful solution for repairs and upgrades of existing installations, as well as new installations looking for compact universal DMX control. With up to 16 programmable push button scenes (8 Scenes in 2 banks) it can be used in any number of applications including as a portable console, emergency controls in a booth, direct access controls backstage, etc.! The SR517W Smart Remote is ideal for churches and houses of worship, schools, theaters, conference centers, and multi-purpose facilities looking for portable master DMX control.

The SR517W provides independent control of up to 512 DMX channels while allowing users to store and recall up to 16 custom lighting scenes. Scenes may be directly captured from an incoming DMX source using snapshot functionality. 8 pushbuttons and 2 banks provide immediate access to stored scenes, making the controller suitable for everyday operation of both DMX and architectural lighting environments.

Designed to operate either as a standalone remote or as part of a larger DMX network, the SR517W can be connected inline with another DMX controller to provide supplemental scene playback and backup control capabilities. The controller supports user-defined fade times for pushbutton scenes and allows fixed DMX output values to be assigned for channel parking applications.

As part of the Lightronics Unity Architectural Lighting System, the SR517W can interface with compatible Unity button control stations to provide additional lighting control locations throughout a facility. This allows lighting scenes to be recalled from multiple locations while maintaining centralized scene management and programming.

Designed for wall-mount applications, the SR517W provides a practical solution for facilities requiring simple, reliable architectural control of DMX-512 lighting systems. Its combination of standalone scene storage and Unity integration makes it suitable for LED and conventional lighting applications as either a primary remote or a backup to larger lighting consoles.
