Doug Fleenor Design DFDNET-5 Buffered DMX Single Gang Wall Plate - 5 pin XLR
DFDNET is a buffered, optically isolated, DMX output wall plate, sized to fit a standard North American single gang electrical box. Machined from solid aluminum, the plate comes standard as black anodized with silver nomenclature. Custom colors are available on request.
DFDNET’s circuitry requires a source of power. Since the power supply (not included) is typically located some distance from the wall plate, cable loss must be accounted for. The maximum cable length PER WALL PLATE is given below. For two wall plates divide the length by two, for three wall plates divide by three, etc.
Input circuit: One unit load EIA-485 receiver (MAX483)
Input signal: 0.2 Volts minimum, DMX512, DMX512/1990, or DMX512-A
Input connectors: Two 3 position screw terminal blocks (In and Thru), an unused Thru must be terminated
Output circuit: Slew rate limited EIA-485 transmitter (MAX483)
Output signal: 2.5 Volts minimum, 5.0 Volts maximum (differential) into 120 Ohm load
Output connector: Gold plated 5 pin female XLR (Neutrik D-1 series), 3 pin optional
Isolation: 1000 Volts input to output
Power connectors: Two 2 position screw terminal blocks (In and Thru)
Power requirement: 9 to 24 Volts DC, 125 mA
Color: Black anodized on grained surface with silver nomenclature
Size and weight: 4.5”h x 2.75”w x 1.8”d, 5 ounces (1.375” depth required in electrical box)
