Do you own a Leviton NSI (may just be branded as NSI) 2404-CD or 2408-CD Commercial Dimmer Pack? If so, Leviton NSI has decided to discontinue the manufacturer of these models. All though the dimmer packs can’t be replaced with the same make and model as your current dimmer pack, there are alternative options.
The first option is that we can repair most (99.9%) of the Leviton NSI Dimmer Packs. An example of an exception would be if there had been fire or water damage to the existing Leviton NSI Dimmer Packs.
Here are some examples of the Leviton NSI dimmer pack repairs available on our website: Leviton NSI Dimmer Pack Flat-Rate Repairs.
Unfortunately, there is NOT a flat-rate repair available for Leviton NSI 2404-CD & 2408-CD dimmer packs. These packs may still be repaired, they just need to be evaluated and priced on a case-by-case basis. If you would like information about repairing an existing Leviton NSI 2404-CD or 2408-CD dimmer pack, please contact us at email@example.com. The process would involve providing a description of what is wrong with the dimmer pack, receiving a Leviton repair number (RMA#) and shipping the dimmer pack directly to Leviton for repair. Knight Sound & Lighting would facilitate the process.
If you do not want to repair your existing Leviton NSI 2404-CD or 2408-CD Dimmer Pack and would just like to find a replacement, we have you covered.
The solution for the Leviton NSI 2404-CD is the Lightronics Unity Architectural Lighting Control – Wall Mount Dimmer AR602.
The Lightronics AR602 is a 6 channel x 2400 Watts per channel dimmer. It accepts DMX-512 signals and allows remote station control of preset scenes. The unit operates from either single or three phase power. The highly versatile AR602 may utilize remote stations to activate specific user programmed scenes pre-stored in the unit. Several various remote types may be used.
If you have a Leviton NSI 2408-CD dimmer pack, the solution is the Lightronics Unity Architectural Lighting Control – Wall Mount Dimmer AR1202.
The Lightronics AR1202 is a 12 channel x 2400 Watts per channel dimmer. It accepts DMX-512 signals and allows remote station control of preset scenes. The unit operates from either single or three phase power. The highly versatile AR1202 may utilize remote stations to activate specific user programmed scenes pre-stored in the unit. Several various remote types may be used. The AR1202 meets UL and CSA requirements and is listed by MET Laboratories.
NOTE!: If your existing Leviton NSI System is using the LumaNet Control Stations (400 & 800 Series), the new Lightronics AR602 and AR1202 have their own style of architectural control system. These are the Lightronics Unity Architectural Lighting Control Controllers. Read on to learn more about these stations.
UNITY ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING CONTROL STATIONS (WALL CONTROL STATIONS FOR YOUR SYSTEM)
The Leviton NSI Dimming Systems offered a simple, but powerful architectural control system called LumaNet. LumaNet was capable of running the Leviton NSI 400 and 800 Series of wall control stations. These stations can still be purchased and/or repaired: NSI LumaNet Wall Stations.
Unfortunately, the new Lightronics Unity Architectural Lighting Control Wall Mount Dimmers will NOT work with the existing Leviton NSI 400 & 800 Series Wall Mount Control Stations. You MUST replace all of the dimmers that are using LumaNet and the control stations at the same time. You may NOT have a mixing of the two architectural control systems on the same control wiring.
The good news is that the existing control wiring from LumaNet can be used with the new Lightronics Unity Architectural Lighting Control Stations (wall mount control stations). There are a variety of different types of Lightronics Unity Architectural Control Stations with buttons, sliders, and a combination of both buttons and sliders.
If you have an existing Leviton NSI dimmer pack or other type of DMX controllable dimmers, you can add a Lightronics DMX Capable Architectural Controller (Slider-Wall Mount, Push Button-Wall Mount, or Push Button-Desktop) to your existing system. This will allow you to add “Unity Architectural Remote Control Stations” to a non-Lightronics Dimming System. Of course, these can also be used with a Lightronics Dimming System, as well!
